I'll be happy to. Make the cheque out for Peter O'Hanlon - my charge is £5,000 per day and I'll even throw in aftersales support.

Does that include or exclude VAT?

You are in the wrong field.

Which hotels do you want the application to support? Also, how many codes do you want? I can give you 4 right now.

That is too vague as hotel and airport reservation systems are proprietrary. We would have to know the exact systems in use and have a full SDK for each in order to help you.
If you have a specific problem then we can help.

I'm just tired of the rash of idiots like this amongst the rash of terrible articles submitted. Yeah, I am a bit cranky tonight!

I noticed (and I'll duck when it gets more than a bit).
Maybe you could try and be somewhat more tolerant towards the neophytes. Temper won't help them.
If it really looks too bad I try and stay calm and advise them to buy and study a book, rather than ask
questions in all directions. Or I just skip the thread...

I try to skip these threads, but when they are part of the deluge of idiots...it becomes very, very, difficult for me!
Then there are the times others are mocking and I just want to get in on the action!

Seems like all the action is yours right now...

I'm not trying to steal the stage.
Except in SB right now!

I never visit, seems like idiots united and lots of name calling.

I haven't posted there in ages but there was a rant about Ilion/Idiot so I started a thread on why we should ignore him like we did with "he who must not be named" in the Lounge several months back. I agree that most of the posts are stupid or about global warming; once in awhile I post a link there that I would like to hear feedback about (besides this last one about Idiot it was about the US Army sending some "general" letters) the subject and it's not appropriate for the Lounge.
BTW, congrats on another year of MVP for you!

Thanks, and congrats to you too.
leckey wrote: a thread on why we should ignore him
That is an oxymoron, isn't it?
Same as when you reply with a message holding an "ignore this thread" subject line, immediately lots of messages get added. Seems to me the only way to ignore something is to do nothing at all on the subject.

I agree, but even with "him who must be not named" it took a lot of threads started to get to the final point.

Can anybody tell me whether the any version of .NET framework is part of any windows OS just like Windows explorer is part of Windows Xp and other versions ??
Thanks in advance

.Net framework is not part of any windows OS.Its independent framework can be installed on any MS windows OS.There might be some compatiblity issues from the older versions but not directly related to OS.
Cheers!!

Wrong. The framework 2.0 is incorporated into Vista and Server 2008 and above. Windows7 also has 3.5 I believe
only two letters away from being an asset
|
|
|
|
|
Slightly wrong still, Vista has .NET 3.0 installed because it is part of the Windows Presentation Foundation which was a fundamental aspect of Vista's marketing.
