I agree that most of the posts are stupid or about global warming; once in awhile I post a link there that I would like to hear feedback about (besides this last one about Idiot it was about the US Army sending some "general" letters) the subject and it's not appropriate for the Lounge. The .NET framework is a runtime library, it's not part of the OS itself, and neither the OS or any of it's cruical applications does depend on it.
