Just curious as to the official status of the email notifications that normally come from the CP forums. I haven't recieved any for awhile and am just curious as to wether it is my email or CP itself.
Joel was definitley wrong when he said email notifications are a bad thing for forums.

My apologies, turns out it was my email address (it is a secondary email address so I only know it is down when I stop recieving CP emails.)

I agree,
Actually an email bundle from CP could be useful.

I'm guessing the concept of a 2 hour movie showing two guys eating a meal and talking struck them as 'foreign'

Funny, I was just thinking about posting a suggestion in the Sugestions forum to ask for just that. A daily digest of replies rather than individual replies.

The link to Mike Dunn's C++ FAQ in the C++ Forum seems to be broken. A for the one who will fix it.

That's a little odd. I use only the standard ASP Response.Cookies and Request.Cookies so I've no idea how that could have happened.

leppie mentioned something like this happening to him on his web site, using ASP.NET; nobody could replicate it and it didn't happen again so we gave up. As this is an ASP site, you have to wonder if it's a browser bug?

I really like having the search for the boards the way it is, rather than the old way of filtering based on exact phrase or whatever it was. However I do have an enhacment request for searching. I noticed that if I search on two keywords, for example, graphics mdi, I get back all the posts that have either of the words in them. I would like to be able to search for posts that have both words in them (kinda like the article search with it's AND, OR, NOT and NEAR to customise the search string). Thanks!

Hint: For a faster board use IE 4+ or Mozilla, choose 'Dynamic' from the View dropdown and hit 'Set Options'.
it seems i'm missing something
